Contemporary, crisp and feminine family garden, July
The design of a modern family garden anchors a newly renovated 1930s house with its garden and offers plenty of room for entertaining and play. The linear design is angled to increase the visual space. A generous slate terrace and pristine white rendered walls tie house and garden together.
The large dining area is partially enclosed with planting for intimacy and offset to one side to allow an uninhibited view into the garden. Box hedging and cubes echo the geometry of the garden and provide a fun route to the playhouse, which is partially screened with a Yew hedge. The pretty, feminine planting softens the crisp design, combining English roses, silver and bronze grasses, lavenders and perennials in soft pinks, whites and purples.
